I am enjoying it and agree with everything

Holly Davis (23.01.2012 16:00:31)
Well I have to say it is very plain speaking and very blunt and no doubt will offend many people who start to read it. But I am enjoying it and agree with everything I have read so far :) I found it quite refreshing to come across a book where the author said exactly what he thought with no fear of what other people may think of him. It is incredible honest in that way.

Excellent!!!

I am still reading it, and it's absolutely AMAZING! All those facts from "horseman" from the earliest times to current is incredible. I think he is the only person to really tell it like it is, and offer insight into so-called "training methods". SO FAR SO GREAT!! I love how he feels about these beautiful creatures people take for granted, instead of working WITH them. Thank u again:)

The only equestrian book which really grasped my attention. Equine behaviour now is not a problem to me, I know all secrets of horsemanship. I recommend this book to all horse lovers.

Time for the horse nation to gain back the respect we owe them

Christianna Capra (20.01.2012 14:27:22)
This is a wonderful book that lays the stepping stones to a mutually beneficial and respected relationship. Though out history and time no other animal has assisted mankind MORE than the horse. There was a time when the horse nation was held with great honor and respect. Seems to me that since the automobile and engines, man has developed an amnesia of sorts as to how we got to where we are!? Horses have become a novelty, a sport / hobby, a play thing, and certainly have not been granted the honor and respect of being sentient and wise beings and have selflessly given all of their heart, gone against their instincts and loyally carried man through evolution. Careless over-breeding (spurred by greed, ignorance or both), massive abuse and neglect (spurred by selfishness, and complete lack of empathy or responsibility) leading to massive attacks, genocide, slaughter and general disregard.

WE MUST HONOR OUR PAST, HERITAGE and EVOLVEMENT - IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO HONOR THE HORSE AS OUR MOST LOYAL PARTNER IN THIS JOURNEY!

So it gives me and others great hope to see a book like The Horse Crucified and Risen to be in print...the philosophy of this book is one of understanding, equality, respect, partnership, and willing participation between man and horse. And the results and discoveries are blissful - once given the freedom to be!

We see this relationship every day in our EAP work (EAGALA Model) where we utilize no riding - the horses are loose in session and given complete freedom of expression to telegraph or act out the internal status of the client (in that moment)offers such rich information that transpires into authentic self discovery and exploration for the client. Granted we are riders and testify to all the wonderful benefits of riding...but when giving the horses complete freedom of expression it is amazing what comes up!!!

Thank you for penning this book and doing the work that will turn the tides for the horses and all the magic that they bring to the world and to mankind...

AMAZING BOOK

Horse training was my profession. Animal communication is my hobby, horses are love of all my life. Horse Crucified and Risen book changed all not only in horsemanship but in my life .
I read it not in book but in NHE Anthology, where it had been published chapter by chapter during the year. And I should admit that it was a good decision to publish the book in that way, otherwise I am not sure I could comprehend it enough to change my life. I needed time for thinking, time for transformation .
Reading the first chapter about equestrian sport I hated this book and his author. Reading the last chapter - Home I hated myself.
My feelings were so strong that I leaved my work of equine trainer and found my own business. I teach now not horses but people and only now I have piece in my soul. All horse-lovers, equine specialists and just common people who loves horses must read this book.

Excellent book for all who consider themselves as a horse lover

Prepare it's not an easy reading. This book will change your life and your love to horses and attitude towards the world and yourself. It will change all. From the first glance it's a book about horses. Yes, but not only about horses, it's about the Man in the world.
It's a serious philosophical work and this book should be presented in other departments.
It's not for horse riders and equine trainers. It's for enlightenment of everybody. I have nothing to do with horses, I do not have horses and even never ride horses myself. However I visited racings and equine events with my kids with pleasure, which is my shame. Surely after this book I will never go there and my children either. Hope everybody will choose the same way after reading.

Must read!

It should be compulsory for everyone remotely involved with horses to read this book.It takes us through history from the beginning of man's association with horses to the present days, showing us that man was never successful in truly understanding the way to the horse's beautiful heart and soul.Instead, man has found ways to force and dominate the horse(often,in horrible ways) for the sole purpose of using her for his own benefit, without never even wondering what the horse wanted and what price the horse would have to pay, both physically and mentally. But that is the arrogance of the human race unfortunately.Alexander Nevzorov's writing style made me smile more than once,he is tender with the horse yet understandingly sarcastic(or even snarky)with the human. To those who seek a "method",this is not it at all.If you're looking for ways to coerce your horse in doing what you want, get a Parelli book or Dvds,i believe they're very effective. This is a revelation in anatomy, physiology and psychology.I was a "loving" rider myself yet i didn't know what i put my horse through,i had no idea!!!Such ignorance is frightening, and this ignorance is everywhere. And to Alexander's detractors, the man wasn't born with this great understanding of horses and this amazing talent,he had to travel through many mistakes and experiences to arrive where he is now. That means that, like all of us,he used to use and abuse the horse in days gone by.The difference is that he has learned from his mistakes and totally changed his way of thinking, having become an authority on the horse's welfare;the question is,can you say the same?

A book which can change the world around you

When I had first read this book (a long time ago and in Russian) I was furious. I hated every word of it. For about a week. Then I've re-read it and I finally got the reason why I was so angry. Everything written there was true. And I was among the bad guys, the horse abusers, the equestrian sportsmen. My fury was aimed at myself and what I did to my own horse who I've always claimed to be a beloved pet. And since that time I've started to change. I've started to really notice the pain I've inflicted and the torturous nature of the common riding. This book was the only thing to help me to understand and not to hesitate in my decision to stop doing the hideous things I did.

And I never ever had to regret it. Now I'm in harmony with myself and my horse, who I now consider to be not my pet, but my true friend.

The book is beautifully written, it reads like fiction novel while still being a non-fiction. It amazes and sometimes scares. It makes you think and feel. Even if you feel terrible at first, if you are strong enough to get over it, you'll unravel the tremendous new way of being with a horse and find the unique method of training without any pain and force. Only love and understanding, only true scientific knowledge and exact information are the guides for a person who really seeks to understand horses in their true splendor.

Must read for every horse lover and horse owner

This book is absolutely mesmerizing. I have read it the first time in short order only to come back and read it again. There is a huge amount of history, carefully researched and told in a way that you won't forget easily. It talks about everything concerning the horse and elevates the horse to where he really should be: As an equal in the scheme all inhabitants of this planet.I would hope that many horse lovers and horse owners would read this book and reflect on it.
